To wash out clip art
In the Microsoft Office document or file that contains the clip you want to wash out, click the clip.
On the Picture toolbar, click the Format Picture button .
Select the Picture tab.
Under Image Control, select Washout from the Color drop-down list, and then click OK.
Your clip has now changed from bold to subtle. You can use this more subtle image in many ways, including as a background for a flyer, as shown here.

POWERPOINT HELP FROM RUSSELL SMITH
Some of you may be preparing end-of-year photo slideshows for a presentation or a parting gift to parents. Here’s a few tips that might help:

If you’re using PowerPoint version 2002 or later you can quickly build a huge number of photo slides in just a few seconds instead of spending hours putting each photo into a new slide individually. See my tutorial about PowerPoint’s Photo Album wizard at:

www.juliatexas.com/powerpoint/photoalbum.htm

If you need music and want it to play during all the PowerPoint slides check out this tutorial:

www.juliatexas.com/powerpoint/powerpointsound.htm

If you want the entire PowerPoint show to loop repeatedly (like at a kiosk) use this tip:

www.juliatexas.com/powerpoint/kiosk.htm

PowerPoint requirements
We'll be showing on the big screen.
Make sure you've got custom animation, slide transitions, video, animations, 5 words per slide, auto run, rehearse timings, pretty fonts, word art, etc. etc.

You will save it when complete to a folder on the server in extra folder and you'll save in a folder there called POWERPOINT

Make sure you've done all of the
PowerPoint tutorial at the link above called "powerpoint tutorials"

If you have......then go to the link at the top called:

VETERANS POWERPOINT and follow instructions exactly.

STEWART HAS JUST GIVEN US A GREAT TIP ON THE FOLLOWING:

How to make a sound or music last through the whole show or certain parts of the show.

Put the sound file on the 1st slide..
Choose play with previous and you have to do this every slide that you want it to keep playing on.

Jim also added how to hide the sound icon on your slide.

Go to the bottom of the Veterans Powerpoint link and you'll find details on the 2 helps just mentioned.

If you aren't able to do it, go back and keep redoing the tutorials until you really understand.
