Making up formulas in Excel
If you are an Excel beginner, you may be having a hard time making up formulas that do not result in an error. With a little practice though, you can easily get the hang of it and start creating your own formulas.

So let’s take a look at how you can create a simple formula. With your Excel worksheet open, begin by clicking within the cell where you want the formula results displayed then complete the steps listed below.

Type an equal sign (=) in the cell.

Click the first cell that you want to use in the formula.
Type in one of the four mathematical operators (+, -, *, or /).
Click the second cell you want to use in the formula.
Press Enter.
The results of the formula will be displayed in the first cell you selected.

BLUE BOOK..through exercise 40
You will create a new spreadsheet for each category and save to your desktop as whatever its name is.

Be careful to KNOW THE DIFFERENCE when it says to create a new sheet or to open one that already exists. Many times, it has you open one you've already made and add to it.

Continue with the blue book until you reach exercise 40 please.
